Spain: New Melon varieties on display in Murcia

HM.CLAUSE once again organized a special melon event at its research station in Murcia, during the first week of July. The event welcomed the primary European melon traders and processors and focused on the current portfolio for the export markets.

The event generated a great platform to exchange views with industry professionals about melon markets, trends, production processes and customer expectations. While the diverse commercial line up, as well as the latest novelties provided an enjoyable tasting experience and a robust display of flavor.

In orange flesh, the two LSL charentais KARMAN and the recent SOLIMAN, garnered significant interest from the visitors by combining attractive externals and great internal quality.

As a specialty, SAPHIR is a unique premium product for melon lovers and gourmets, thanks to its outstanding eating experience.

The LSL galias were also a cornerstone of the event, with the well-known CAPOEIRA (counter-season, increasing in Brazil) and LAMBADA (a reference in Murcia). Two novelties were also displayed: CLX MLM65 and SALSA, coming respectively before and after LAMBADA, to cover the entire Murcia season (both two varieties with a good pack out of nice and sweet fruits).
