Acting governor of the Penza region, Ivan Belozertsev held talks with the representatives of the Italian "E.A. N. Agency SrL”, which intends to implement a huge investment project in the field of vegetable production on the region’s territory.
This project proposes building a greenhouse complex on the agropark territory in the Serdobsky district, with a total production area of 15 hectares for year-round cultivation of vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, radishes, dill, parsley) in quantities of 12-15 thousand tons. With the possibility to subsequently expand to 100 hectares.
In the case of signing the agreement, the project will be implemented in one step and put into operation in November 2016.
Within the framework of the project, a high-tech greenhouse equipped with modern systems of drip irrigation, shading, and assimilation lighting will be constructed.
Director of the Russian representative office, Paul Mglinets noted that the cost of the project is three billion rubles. It will be financed with the company’s own funds.
As Paul Mglinets explains, this project to build a greenhouse in the Serdobsky district will be the company’s first in this field in Russia.
Acting First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Penza region and head of mininvest (Ministry of Investment Development) in the region Vladimir Volkov, said that establishing infrastructure in the agropark will allow the investor to minimize the costs of connecting gas and electricity.
“In two and half weeks the primary document will be agreed upon, which will allow residents to grant the agropark territory without fulfilling the procedures of competitive bidding. This will allow them and us to be certain that the project will be realised without any loss of time or start-up finances,” remarked Vladimir Volkov.
