US: LumiGrow hosts Lunch n' Learn at Cultivate '15 - Lighting up Profits

Artificial lighting has long been used to augment natural lighting to enhance and control many aspects of specialty crop production. LED lights are now extending that level of control and are even being successfully used to replace natural light for controlled environment production. Until relatively recently though the most significant hindrance to the use of LED lighting systems was cost.
