Putting Backyard Farms' cocktail tomatoes box to creative use

From delicious recipes to funny photos, Backyard Farms loves seeing how their customers use their tomatoes. Thanks to Mary Ellen McEvily of New York, they learned a fascinating new way to use the box they pack their Cocktail Tomatoes in.

Mary Ellen is a volunteer at a local hospital where she teaches art classes to seriously ill cancer patients. No doubt, her classes are a pleasant escape from extremely difficult circumstances. Mary Ellen has a simple philosophy regarding art: “As a painter, I always think a piece looks better in a frame,” she stated in a letter she sent to Backyard Farms' president. After enjoying a box of Backyard Farms' Cocktail Tomatoes, Mary Ellen became “charmed” by the cut out in the top of the box and was immediately inspired to put it to creative use.

She quickly painted the a lovely scene…and placed it in the “frame” she found in the Cocktail Tomato box!

Backyard Farms' wants to share this inspiring idea with you. They've heard of customers using the boxes to store pens and pencils but nothing as creative as Mary Ellen’s picture frame idea. As Mary Ellen says, “Everything looks better in a frame and they can be found in the most unexpected places!”
