Close to 300 exhibitors were showcasing the latest innovations in fresh produce, ranging from fresh produce to packing and labeling machines as well as equipment for value-added processing. Although traffic at the show didn’t seem to be huge, many exhibitors shared that this show provides them an opportunity to have one-on-one time with their existing relationships. A large number of booths had meeting spaces were attached that were utilized to have private conversations with customers.

A new exhibitor mentioned that the show exceeded his expectations. He was hoping to receive interest from two or three retailers, but he had at least seven follow-up conversations lined up as a direct result of customers seeing and tasting his product. He said, “it’s all about timing. If you can have your customers taste your product this time of the year, then United Fresh is the right platform.”

Altogether, exhibitors confirmed that their presence on the floor enabled them to have in-person conversations with key customers and make new contacts.

United Fresh was co-located with FMI Connect 2015 and the International Floriculture Expo. In total, the event drew more than 1,000 exhibitors. During the show, educational sessions were organized that attracted a lot of interest as well.
