Chlorinsitu: new generation ECA Units

The new generation ECU Unit, type Chlorinsitu, is completely up-to-date and compliant with all the new guidelines and safety specifications. Besides having a revised electro cell and extra checking points in the process, it has a modern display and its technical working life has been extended. In previous years, there has been a strong growth in the use of ECA-water. It is extremely suitable for the cleaning and disinfecting of the complete watering system.

Electrolysis cell
The heart of the ECA Unit is the electrolysis cell, in which the chloride in potassium chloride is changed into active chlorine. In the latest generation of ECA-Units, there is a new cell which is built in-house by the manufacturer. Parts are exchangeable and the transparent exterior allows the plates in the cells to be visually checked for contamination. For the process to work at its best, good softened water and the correct amount of potassium chloride in the cell are crucially important. There are extra points in the process to check and control these parameters.

Working life
The model ECA-Unit, Chlorinsitu® has been made since 1978 and in recent years has been intensively used in glasshouses for the cleaning and disinfection of watering systems. ECA Units have been enormously improved in those years: the working life is currently a minimum of 15 years. For service and maintenance, parts are guaranteed to be available during this period.

Safety requirements
The new generation ECA Unit (Chlorinsitu) complies with all the guidance and safety requirements, including ISO 9001 (quality guarantee system), VCA certifcate (Veiligheidscertificaat Aannemers - Safety certificate for Contractors), CE guidelines (product guarantees) en ATEX 95. The quality and safety systems are important for the guarantee of the health and safety of employees.

Display
With the extensive modern display, the user has even more information immediately available. The level of the storage of ECA-water directly visable; all important parameters in the process are easily and quickly accessible via the touchscreen.

Service and maintenance
In order to guarantee optimal functioning of the ECA Unit, a service and maintenance contract is vital. In addition to off-the-shelf maintenance packages, there are also packages which include replacement parts. Via remote control, you can access help remotely from a technical adviser 24 hours a day (worldwide). He can then remotely control the process and offer advice.
