766 PV greenhouses:

China's largest PV greenhouse project goes online

As of May 3, CECEP’s 50 MW PV greenhouse project in Lu’an, Shanxi has generated more than 2m kWh in power. The project was connected to the Shanxi State Grid on April 3.

The RMB 500m project, occupying 2,450 mu, was funded by CECEP Solar Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Lu’an Solar Technology Co., Ltd. As the country’s largest solar-integrated agriculture project, it will be home to 766 PV greenhouses. Each greenhouse combines power generation and agriculture, with 255 W polycrystalline silicon solar cell modules installed on each greenhouse's roof.
