Russia: V.Putin appointed new Minister of Agriculture

Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, signed the decree "On Fedorov N.V." and "On the advisor to the President of the Russian Federation", declared the Presidential Executive Office on April 22.

Nikolai Fedorov was relieved from the position of the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, and appointed as the advisor to the President of the Russian Federation. As a reminder, N. Fedorov led the Ministry of Agriculture since May 21, 2012. Both documents shall enter into force on the date of signing.

At the same time, V.Putin appointed Alexander Tkachev as the new Minister of Agriculture. The corresponding decree comes into force upon signature on April 22. 

Previously, A.Tkachev was the governor of Krasnodar Krai in the southern European part of Russia, which position he held since December 2000.
