Dutch greenhouse pavilion at Work Expo Milan

From the 1st of May until the 31st of October, the EXPO Milano will be taking place. It is the global exhibition with this year's theme "Feeding the Planet, Energy for life". 140 countries will be showing their innovations in the area of healthy, safe and sufficient nutrition. The expo is 1.1 million square metres in size and will attract over 20 million visitors.

Greenhouse pavilion
The Dutch pavilion at the World Export 2015 is built like a summer festival with different coloured tents, seating areas and food trucks where fun and serious topics are combined. A greenhouse pavilion is obviously part of this. The organisation chose this due to the reference to the greenhouse cultivation.

Edenparks, part of Smiemans Projecten, will have the honour of building the Dutch greenhouse pavilion, as they have the expertise in the area of publicly accessible buildings. The Dutch company life and food related organisations are holding presentation, meetings and dinners in the pavilion.

20 million visitors
In the pavilion and in various tents the Netherlands will show why they are the world leader in many agrarian and agro-industrial sectors. You will be able to see how the country deals with questions like food safety, eco systems, biodiversity and the application of nano technology. There are demonstrations, varying exhibitions and discussion meetings about controversial topics. And of course there will be a lot to taste, both new inventions and Dutch treats in the food trucks.
