Tecnova works with all the companies and institutions that form part of the Spanish agribusiness cluster, ranging from fruit and vegetable production and technology to sales, postharvest, packaging and ready-to-eat products. There are currently 120 companies that are Tecnova members.
Last month the new Board of Directors of the Spanish research center was elected. For the next four years; the board will consist of the following members:
President - Angel Barranco from IDM
Vicepresident - Antonio Mayor from IMP Consultores
Secretary - Antonio Alonso from AMB
Treasurer - Francisco Torres from Agrobío
Spoke Person - Francisco Pérez from Rijk Zwaan
Spoke Person - Rafael Peral from Science and Technology Park of Almería (PITA)
Spoke Person - Luis Miguel Peregrín from Riegos y Tecnología
With the facilities they have in Almería, the hot south of Spain, Tecnova has broad experience in developing Indoor agriculture in hot and warm weather conditions. It is working hard to improve horticultural techniques to achieve the highest productivity in warm and hot climates through innovation in climate control technology and greenhouse construction amongst many others.
The aim of the new board is to continue the international expansion of Tecnova providing innovative solutions to achieve the best performance possible for growers whilst maintaining the highest level of quality, always respecting the environment.
