Cohen's new Calibrachoa, Petunia and Verbena varieties showcased at California Spring Trials

At the California Spring Trials, the Israeli propagator Cohen will showcase 17 new varieties. These varieties, all bred by Breier exclusively for Cohen, are added to the three existing series; 4 new varieties to the Calibrachoa Caloha series, 6 to the Petunia Happy series and 7 to the Verbena Tiara series. Below, one new variety form each series will be highlighted.

Petunia Happy series - Happy Classic Marble Yellow

The Petunia happy Classic Marble Yellow has mounding growth habits. The large flowers have a special yellow color with red veins in the center. They are early flowering and can handle the heat very well.

Calibrachoa Caloha serie Ė Caloha Hot Pink with Yellow Eye

The new Hot Pink with Yellow Eye is added to the classic line and has hanging growing habits. As the name suggests, the pink single flowers have yellow eyes. The entire Calibrachoa Caloha serie consists of four lines: classic, compact, double, and grand. The classic line consists of vigorous and hanging varieties,  the compact varieties have shorter internodes for pot production, the double line has double flowered varieties incl. bicolors (these varieties are only available for Europe and Canada), the grand line consists of varieties with large flowers.

Verbena Tiara serie - Tiara Mickey Blue Lavender

The entire Verbena Tiara serie consists of a Classic line, with large flower varieties, Eye line, with white eyed flowers and the Mickey line, which includes tricolored varieties. The Tiara Mickey Blue Lavender is an addition to latter line, the Mickey line. The plant roots and grows fast and has half hanging habits in a mature stage. The flowers are large and are available in different shades of blue and lavender.

All plants, that are showed above are suitable for baskets and all pot sizes. Besides that, they are produced from SEE certified material and kept in the state of the art facilities of Cohen.

During the California Spring Trials, from 11 to 16 April 2015, Cohen can be visited at Pacific Plug & Liner, 750 Casserly Road in Watsonville, CA 95076, United States.
