Fire in German nursery completely destroys production floor

The 400m2 production and storage floor of a nursery in the German town of Klein Wesenberg burned down last week. The cause of the fire is as yet unknown. Residents had alerted emergency services after midnight because they saw flames rising from the facility. The material damage amount to 100,000 euros.

The efforts of seven fire trucks and three firefighting units could not prevent the hall from collapsing. An adjoining residence was fortunately spared. Cleanup work lasted until the early morning hours. Local authorities are now investigating the cause of the fire.
