Spain: Capital Genetic and Mendeleyes extend cooperation on Research and Development of new varieties

Capital Genetic EBT SL and Mendeleyes Breeding&Trials Platform SL have announced today an extension of their License Agreement for Use of Technology and Technical Assistance in the areas of Research and Development of new varieties.

Capital Genetic is a High-tech and fast-growing Seed Company with 4 international research stations and a Development and Distribution network that already reaches more than 30 countries.

With only six years in the Industry, this young Spanish company has successfully begun to introduce highly competitive new varieties in markets of Europe, Asia, America and Africa. The new tomato hybrids, including high resistance rootstocks with new yield capabilities, and new varieties of spicy pepper and sweet pepper have positioned the company in a reference position. Capital Genetic also develops research and experimental programs of melons, cucumbers, eggplant, zucchini, watermelon and papaya, with very positive results, that will enter into commercial scale in the second half of 2015.
