Brazilian Rei melons in Berlin
Itaueira, Brazilian Rei melon and baby watermelon grower and exporter, participates in Fruitlogistica for the 11th time. This year, beside the tasting demo of the Rei Yellow melons, the company wants present to the international market two varieties of fruits that the company started to grown 3 years are go and are now top sales in domestic market, very much appreciated for their top quality and delicious flavour – the Galia melon, and the Baby watermelon, with micro edible seeds.“We believe in a great acceptance of these products in Europe, that is increasing its demand for superior quality fruits, such as the REI melons”, says Adriana Prado, Itaueira´s Marketing and International Logistic Manager.
Today Itaueira exports to Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Russia, Canada and United States, to niche markets with extremely demanding consumers, that seek premium fruits, tastier then the commonly found on store shelves.
During 2014, Itaueira expanded their investments in equipments for planting, production, sorting, packing and cooling and training in new specialized courses for all staff, always seeking to improve food safety and quality. “Is the result of all these investments what we will present to international market – healthy and tasty fruits”, highlights José Roberto Prado, Itaueira’s Commercial Director.
