Tomato Demo greenhouse Bayer Seeds ready for new season
The hightech tomato team celebrates the new planting.
The current commercial varieties Competition, Foundation and Intense tomatoes, as well as the upcoming launches and the rootstock varieties are carefully put in place.
In total, 170 different fields were planted and these can be visited from March. Bayer CropScience believes it is important to open up the demo glasshouse early, so as to give growers, advisors and supermarkets a full insight into the development speed and earliness of production.
