Netherlands: Plans for geothermal energy at propagator Hollandplant
Wayland Developments means to develop a geothermal well in order to have a long-term sustainable energy source for its nursery Hollandplant. During the process it became clear that more users would like to enjoy the resultant heat source. So now, it’s not just a single well, but a sustainable area development for the benefit of all users in the region. For this purpose, Wayland Developments contacted AgroEnergy.
Ewald Pelser, Director of Business Developments at Wayland Developments, comments: "Given the vision and ambition of AgroEnergy and the role they will play in renewable energy companies, the collaboration fits the developments envisioned by Wayland Developments. AgroEnergy also has sufficient technical knowledge and experience to meet the desires of our greenhouse customers."
Drilling will take place next to the oldest and most successful drill in the Netherlands: that of pioneer Rik van den Bosch in Bleiswijk. The greenhouse area incorporates tens of hectares of greenhouses.
