A turn-key, fully automated hydroponic greenhouse

Ecosphere Technologies launches the Ecos GrowCube

Ecosphere Technologies, Inc., a U.S. technology licensing and innovative manufacturing company, today introduced the Ecos GrowCube. Made in America from aircraft-grade aluminium, the Ecos GrowCube is a state-of-the-art, turn-key, fully-automated "greenhouse" that utilizes hydroponic growing techniques in order to maximize the amount of crop production possible in a given footprint. Eliminating the need for soil, pesticides and conventional toxic chemicals, the Ecos GrowCube offers commercial and residential farmers the opportunity to grow a wide range of crops in a fully automated and controlled environment virtually anywhere.

Designed to grow high-grade organic crops in a secure, computer-controlled environment, the Ecos GrowCube incorporates Ecosphere Technologies' patented Ozonix water treatment technology in addition to controlling various inputs (including humidity, CO2, leaf and root temperature, bacteria control, LED light cycles, nutrient levels, etc.), which allow growers to increase the maximum yield possible and grow chemical-free crops.

Unlike retro-fitted shipping containers, the Ecos GrowCube comes in a variety of sizes and can be custom made to order with a number of options for the specific crop being grown. Additionally, the Ecos GrowCube utilizes Ecosphere's proprietary, on-board Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) that produces its own pure, clean water that is free of municipal chlorines, chemicals and trace pharmaceuticals that have detrimental effects on crop growth and production. The Ecos GrowCubeallows growers to grow product locally and closer to distribution outlets to effectively backwards-integrate, enabling them to capture the maximum profits available across the entire value chain (growing, distribution and retail).

James Hebb, Hydroponic Consultant to Ecosphere Technologies, stated, "This innovative, patented crop enhancement and production technology has the potential to be one of the most important farming innovations of our generation. We've created what we believe is the most-state-of-the-art, turn-key solution for the small to medium sized, highly focused hydroponic grower that is producing high-value crops. The Company looks forward to working with strategic partners across a wide variety of growing opportunities globally." James Hebb, who has over 30 years of experience in the agriculture, hydroponic greenhouse consultancy and grower relations industry, was instrumental in the design and engineering of the Ecos GrowCube.

Michael Donn, Chief Operating Officer of Ecosphere Technologies, said, "It's been an exciting process for our team to bring the Ecos GrowCubeto market. Ecosphere's many years of experience in the design, engineering and manufacturing of highly-sophisticated, fully-automated water treatment solutions that can be deployed and used anywhere in the world has given us the foundation to develop a product that has the potential to help address some of the world's greatest farming challenges. We believe the Ecos GrowCube is a game-changing technology for companies and individuals, that are committed to having the ability to grow chemical-free crops, 365 days per year in any climate. From a technology standpoint, we believe today's announcement that we are introducing this highly mobile, fully automated and controlled "greenhouse" system is a significant milestone for the Company."
