Our apologies for last Friday's GM article

Last Friday we made a painful mistake by implementing a picture of tomato that was injected with a needle together with an article on GM crops & herbicides in our newsletter. Many of our readers are committed greenhouse growers of sustainable crops and for them food safety and traditional breeding programs are of paramount importance. HortiDaily.com offers our sincerest apologies for this action, because the article refereed to was a sided article on GM crops with a picture of a needle in a tomato. We can understand that growers experienced this as quite shocking.

We would like to emphasize that the crops grown in our reader's greenhouses have nothing to do with GM and tomatoes with needles, and would like to apologize for linking the sustainable horticultural industry with GM, needles, and the debate on glyphosate-containing herbicides.
