Dutch grower Seasun replaces energyscreens on 34 hectares

This fall, Seasun from Kapelle, the Netherlands, starts with the extensive operation of replacing the energyscreens. After 13 years, the SLS 10 ULTRA PLUS-energyscreen, which lies on the 34 hectare sized section, needs to be replaced.

After looking at the different possibilities for screen installations, the decision was made for LUXOUS 1347 FR from Svensson. The reason for choosing this screen is because of the positive experiences of fellow growers. Especially, the moisture transmission and the high light transmission. "An important point, because we want to make many screenhours without the suffering the growth", says Jeroen Steenbrink, technical manager at Seasun.

Also Seasun has to deal with challenging times. However, growers still attach value to modern greenhouse equipment, which also includes replacement of the screen in time. "Then, the energy saving and greenhouse climate are on the desired level and we are able to built on profitable and sustainable greenhouse cultivation, even in these challenging times", explains Jeroen.
