The first harvesting is completedin the biggest greenhouse Adelya in Kazakhstan, media service of KazAgro Groupannounces. With 11 Ha,Adelya is the largest hi-techagricultural complex in Kazakhstan. 10 ha are planted with vegetables,and 1 ha is used for seeding sprouts to be used in this greenhouse later on.
Having worked its firstseason, this greenhouse received Eco-Quality Certificates for its production,e.g. cucumbers.
The Eco mark certifies thatour vegetables are clean and healthy, says Ludmila Kovchenko, the director ofthe greenhouse. Instead of soil we use individual coir containers for growingcucumbers. The water we use is purified and enriched with minerals. Our growingtechnology lets us save water, fertilizer and other resources.
According to Furkhad Mirkarimov,the deputy head of KazAgroFinance, the farm Adelya is not a newbie ingreenhouse business. Few years ago, 5 ha of greenhouses were built andcommissioned on its premises.
At that time mainly Turkishtechnologies were utilized. Success of the project encouraged the managementteam to enlarge the vegetable growing capacity. The idea was to provide theresidents of Kazakhstan with cheap vegetables of good quality at off-peakseasons. Nowadays, a yearly production capacity of this greenhouse equals 6080tonnes of cucumbers and tomatoes. They are in high demand and sold all aroundthe country.
Height of the greenhouse is8.5 m, what allows better aeration. Fuel-saving system is installed forheating. This greenhouse uses only the highest technologies.
The general manager of the farmAdelya has established partnership with French company Richel Serres de France,a manufacturer of greenhouses which are popular all around the world.
KazAgroFinance has 6ongoing construction projects of industrial greenhouses in South Kazakhstan.Investments ensured the total greenhouse area increased from 155 ha to 720 halast year, with 150 000 tonnes of vegetables produced.
