Higher capacity ISO Group’s automatic grafting machine ISO Graft 1100

Recent field tests with the brand new ISO Graft 1100 have proven a higher capacity of the ISO Graft 1100. The increased capacity is reached thanks to an improved design for the machine’s final version. In June this year ISO Group successfully launched the brand new ISO Graft 1100 at the GreenTech Amsterdam.

During the Dutch grafting season 2013 – 2014 the machine’s prototype achieved a capacity of 900 grafts per hour. Field tests with the final version confirmed ISO Group’s presumption that an increased speed could be reached. When the supply is well organised the machine can do 1,000 grafts per hour. But that is not the end, the machine can be sped up to do more. However, the operators need to have time to do their job well. Today, 1,000 grafts per hour seems to be a workable capacity for them. In this way, a respectable labour performance of 500 grafts per hour per person can be realised with the ISO Graft 1100. Critical for realising such a high capacity on average is the smooth supply of graded rootstocks and scions.

The main advantage of the ISO Graft 1100 is the automatic high-quality grafting method: rootstock and scion are simultaneously cut. As a result the stems fit perfectly, which stimulates union. A very high success rate between 98 – 100% is demonstrated by customers, thanks to this unique grafting method. For more information, please visit the product page.

Since the takeover in January 2014, the ISO Group is part of Flier Systems and they have joined forces. Together they offer innovative solutions worldwide for sowing, grading, transplanting, grafting and more. Modular systems with the newest vision techniques and robotics optimize processes in nurseries and contribute to the results.
